<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the piping work by sufficiently taking a time in the connection work of joint by forming the connection end part of a pipe based on polyethylene into a heated expanded pipe state and subsequently forcibly cooling the same in this state to detach a pipe expanding means and fitting the connection end part in the joint to allow the same to stand naturally. SOLUTION: The connection end part 7 of a plyethylene pipe 6 is heated and the rubbery elastomer 2 of a pipe expanding tool K is inserted into the connection end part 7 and an oil pressure type drum 1 is pulled to compress the ruburry elastomer 2 to expand the same in the diameter direction thereof to expand the connection end part 7. The connection end part 7a in a heated expanded state is forcibly cooled as it is by sprinkling water or sending air to the connection end part 7a. When a prescribing cylinder 8 is used, this cylinder is moved or detached from the expanded connection part 7a to cool the connection part. The pipe expanding tool K is detached and a joint having an outer diameter same to or slightly larger than the inner diameter of 24mm of the polyethylene pipe is inserted in the expanded connection end 7a to be allowed to stand naturally.</p> |
