ALUMINA CEMENT AND MONOLITHIC REFRACTORY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain alumina cement having high temp. sinterability and high strength exhibiting property and to obtain monolithic refractories using the cement. SOLUTION: This alumina cement contains <=1.0wt.% coarse powder of >45μm size or contains <=1.0wt.% coarse powder of >=45μm size and contains 15-30wt.% CaO and 70-85wt.% Al2 O3 as chemical components. This alumina cement is blended with refractory aggregate to obtain the objective monolithic refractories.
