The drive component (32), at one end in the area beneath the edge of the flap remote from the hinge, is pivotably located in a static position (36). At its other end it is pivotably connected with a boom (42), which extends from the underside of the flap in the area of the hinge (24). A control is provided, which during opening and closing of the flap draws together the drive component and then moves it outwards again. A tension device (50) is provided, which during the opening movement of the flap (18) tensions the drive component around its static bearing upwards, and during the closing movement tensions it downwards.
