摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve durability of en engine by a method wherein when an engine running state is in a particular state, a supercharging pressure is forcibly decreased irrespective of a fundamental supercharging pressure, and when the particular state is released, a fundamental supercharging pressure control amount is reduced and corrected only for a given time. CONSTITUTION:In a variable volume turbocharger 5, exhaust gas exhausted from an engine body flows to an outer peripheral passage 41a through an inlet passage 42. Thereafter, the exhaust gas flows to an inflow passage 41b at a velocity of flow responding to the variable flow area of a gap between moving and fixed vans 54 and 49, and after it rotationally drives a turbine wheel 50, it is exhausted. The moving vane 54 is driven by an actuator based on a fundamental supercharging pressure control amount responding to an engine running state. In this case, the moving vane 54 is controlled such that a supercharging pressure s forcibly reduced irrespective of a fundamental supercharging pressure when an engine running state is in a particular state. When it is released from the particular running state, control is effected so that a fundamental supercharging pressure control amount is reduced and corrected only for a given time.</p>
