<p>Biological denitrification of water using one or more bioreactor units containing bioreactor media (28, 32), a prefilter assembly containing media (78), and a slow sand filter (114, 118). Water flow related values, the bioreactor media and the air scouring process in the bioreactors are controlled to specific values. The prefilter includes a flow distribution device. The prefilter and slow sand filters may be semi-portable, allowing them to be made at a remote location and transported to the site.</p> |
