The brake disc has a caliper enclosing the brake disc (7), and the brake linings (4,5), arranged inside the caliper and able to be pressed against the disc on both sides. The caliper is attached to the adjacent axle part (11) either directly or via a brake carrier. At least one vibration sensor (3) attached to at least one brake component and/or to the adjacent axle part, is connected to a vibration generator (2) which sets the corresponding part vibrating in a directed manner. The resultant of the generated and detected noise suppresses the brake noise.
