<p>A motor (33) having terminals U, V and W connected through reactors (32) to the corresponding phases of a power supply (31), each reactor (32) being connected in parallel with a switch (35). The motor is further provided with terminals Z, X and Y connected with its terminals U, V and W through switches (37). When the switches (37) are closed and the switches (35) are set to interconnect the terminals Z, X and Y, the winding of the motor becomes Y-connection and the motor is directly connected to the power source. On the other hand, when the switches (37) are opened and the switches (35) are set to connect the terminals Z, X and Y to the terminals U, V and W, the winding of the motor becomes delta-connection and the motor is connected to the power source through the reactor (32).</p> |
