The body consists of a chassis (3) which is built-up from steel longitudinal and cross beams (5). Support brackets (6) are welded to the chassis. The floor of the body is built-up from aluminium alloy extruded profiles (16,17,18). The alloy profiles of the floor are mounted on the chassis using hook shaped mounting plates (22) which grip over rims on the floor profiles (16) and which are bolted onto the support brackets (6), which are welded to the chassis. The mounting plates are cut-offs from an extrusion.
