PURPOSE:To prevent a flow rate from being suddenly decreased and to make it possible to increase the ratio of the maximum flow rate to the minimum flow rate by a method wherein the operation of a linear lever is once stopped on the way from the maximum flow rate to the minimum flow rate in a flow rate controlling device for a gas heater or the like. CONSTITUTION:The interior of a gas flow rate control body 1 is provided with a passage, and by means of an opening and closing mechanism 2, a shaft 3 slides to open a valve 3a and a safety valve 4, and gas fed through a gas tube 12 passes through passages 1a-1c and reaches a flow rate control part. The position of an instrument plug 10 in this case is determined by the vertical position of an instrument plug pin 8 whose position is regulated by a lever 5 which passes through a tapered hole provided in a lever bracket 6 and a tapered hole fixed to the instrument plug 10 and moves circularly on a guide pin 7. Under such a situation, the quantity of gas to be fed to a burner 11 becomes the maximum flow rate due to the orifice part 13a of a nozzle 13 in the state that the instrument plug 10 is most raised, while the minimum flow rate is determined by a hole 10b in the state that the instrument plug 10 is most lowered. |
