<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the repulsive property of the face of a head body including the face for hitting a ball and to improve the carry of a ball by forming fine ruggedness on the face and applying an epoxy resin on its front surface. SOLUTION: The golf club 10 has the hollow head body 12 made of a metal including the face 11 and plural pieces of shallow grooves 13 are formed on the surface of the face 11 to enhance the strength thereof. The face 11 is formed by welding integrally with the head body 12 or integral casting therewith, etc. In such a case, the fine ruggedness is formed by a sandblasting treatment on the surface of the head body 12 and the surface thereof is subjected to prescribed colored coating by an acryl urethane resin and, further, a coating by an epoxy resin 22 is formed on its surface. The epoxy resin 22 may be either of one pack type or two pack type of a cold drying type or a denatured epoxy resin or tar epoxy resin is usable as well. As a result, the golf club 10 which has the high strength and is capable of increasing the carry is obtd.</p> |
