PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the scattering of carriers and to cope with a change in the characteristic of a developer after manufacture, the variation from one unit to another of developing device, etc., by providing a developer supply regulating device not for supplying the developer having the carriers whose magnetic susceptibility is lower than a specific value, into the developing device. SOLUTION: At the time of supplying the developer T into a tank, a toner hopper is removed to supply the developer T in a container 30 to the developer supplying member 23 of the developer supply regulating device 20. The developer T is guided onto a carrying belt 21, while being regulated to a specified amount by a developer quantity regulating gap G and then, inversely moved downward in a state where the developer T is attracted to a belt surface by magnetic force from a magnet roller 26. Since this magnet roller 26 has constant magnetic force, the developer T having high magnetic susceptibility is held on the belt 21 as it is and carried, but the developer T having low magnetic susceptibility drops from the belt 21 and is recovered into a recovering case 22. The developer T whose magnetic susceptibility is the specific value or more is attracted to the lower surface of the belt corresponding to a magnetic force plate 24 having the constant magnetic force, carried and supplied into a developing tank. |
