PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive sheet binding device and image forming device incorporating it of simple configuraion, with which it is possible to enhance the quality of a sheet bundle without dislocation of sheets and make the post-treatment stably using a small number of restricting members. SOLUTION: An aligning tray 38 is equipped with a tail restricting member 20 of split construction, and sheets S exhausted and stacked on the tray 38 by exhaust means 17, 18 are allowed to run against the tail restricting member 20 and aligned. A post-treatment means 400 is provided having approx. the same collide surface as the collide surface of the tail restricting member 20, and the sheets are allowed to run against not only the member 20 but also the post-treatment means 40 and are bound together by a binding means 22.
