PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a developer which has fell in a lump onto a developer supply member from being discharged out of a developing unit as it is and to prevent soil in the image forming device by providing an abutting member, which abuts on a developer supply member over the full width of the developer supply member in its longitudinal direction in the edge of an opening through which developer is carried out, and which separates the inside of the developing unit from the outside. SOLUTION: An elastic sealing member 300, made of polyurethane rubber, as an abutting member which abuts on the developing roller 84 over the full width of the developing roller 84 in its longitudinal direction in the edge of the opening through which the toner is carried out by the developing roller 84 and which separates the inside of the developing unit from the outside, is disposed so that a part of it is curved near a doctor blade 85 and opposite it. It is preferable to provide a blade-like sealing member 310, made of polyurethane rubber, as a developer scatter prevention member which seals the opening as narrow as possible. The elastic sealing member 300 and this sealing member 310 are integrated by a holder 320. |
