PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly recognize a data sequence even when a card is inserted from any direction. SOLUTION: Concerning a medal lending device for lending medals for a slot machine by accepting a prepaid card, the position to form an information recording part 14 on the inserted prepaid card is adjusted so that a center line (1) in lengthwise direction can be overlapped on a center line L in the lengthwise direction of card. Besides, the information recording part 14 respectively records data showing the start of data sequence from starting terminal to ending terminal and data showing the end of data sequence from starting terminal to ending terminal. Inside the medal lending device, a magnetic head 17 is provided at the position corresponding to the center line L of card to be conveyed and after the conveying direction of card is discriminated from the data positioned at the top of read-out data sequence, a control part executes the recognizing processing of data string corresponding to the discriminated result. |
