PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing an open-cell rigid polyurethane foam having fine and uniform cells. SOLUTION: A soln. of a higher fatty acid metal salt in N,N,N'-tris(2- hydroxypropyl)ethylenediamine is used as a cell-opening agent in a process for producing a rigid polyurethane foam from a polyisocyanate, a polyol, a blowing agent, a foam stabilizer, a catalyst, etc. Thus, a rigid polyurethane foam having a stable open cell content, e.g. an open cell content of 50% or higher, pref. 90% or higher, can be produced industrially easily. |
