PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent knock type writing utensil with an improved safety mechanism and sure and, safe, properties. SOLUTION: A double knock mechanism is established by pushing a knocking rod to project and further pushing the knocking rod to be retracted. Also, a safety mechanism is established to retain a projection state of the tip through the engagement between an engagement ball and an engagement rib, and to retract it as the engagement ball is lifted up. Both of the rotational direction by a knocking rod cam 5a and the knocking cam 3c of a rotator 3 in projection operation and the rotational direction by the receiving cam of the rotator and cam 2c of an inner cylinder 2 in retractive operation are in the same direction. The rotator united integrally with the engagement rib is turned in the same direction at given distances by repeating knocking operation, and each cam surface of the knocking rod and rotator is formed having an obtuse angle face and an acute angle face. |
