PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to obtain the excellent glossiness without necessity of after treatment for giving gloss by providing an ink receiving layer on the smooth surface of a sheet-like support, providing an intermediate layer on the opposite surface, and transferring the receiving layer onto the intermediate layer. SOLUTION: The first surface of a sheet-like support drawn from an unreel is coated with an ink receiving layer by a coating unit 1. In a No. 1 dryer 2, the receiving layer is dried. Then, the second surface is coated with an intermediate layer of adhesive by a coating unit 3. When a sheet is wound on a reel, the receiving layer and the intermediate layer are press bonded by using a nip roller 5. When the manufactured roll is drawn, the receiving layer is transferred toward the intermediate layer. Thus, an ink jet recording sheet having excellent ink absorption properties and high glossiness can be manufactured without liner. |
