The auxiliary boot (20) has a casing supported on a panel (10) mounted between an upper part of a rear seat and a rear window (2). The panel separates a baggage compartment and the passenger area of the vehicle. The panel has a frame (11) with longitudinal sliders (15) to receive the auxiliary casing which is mounted to slide. The panel also has transverse grooves which cooperate with a closure. The closure has two independent closure panels (30) each formed by two leaves (31,32) articulated together around an axis perpendicular to their displacement.
