Vibrating indirect piezoelectric effect type drive unit for forming rotary or translational output movements

The driver incorporates a number of piezoelectric actuators (1) oscillating in translatory mode either singly or in combination between rocker arms (6,7) and a point (C0) on the frame. The point of attachment (D) of a coupling element (8) describes a circular arc during each cycle of the oscillation. This point engages the internal teeth of a wheel (9) on a roller bearing (10) to rotate it further until the end of the arc is reached. The process is repeated with the aid of another actuator (13) which varies the frame point position.
