Printing mechanism for rotary offset printing machine

The mechanism involves a printing plate (2) which, during a printing operation, contacts a rubber sheet (4). The rubber sheet is supported by a rubber sheet cylinder (3) in a first contact zone (5). There is also an ink mechanism (6) which has several rollers. The ink mechanism inks the printing plate in a pre-inking phase and during the on going operation of the printing mechanism. The ink used is a suitable printing ink for moisture free offset printing. A catchment roller (7) is connected to the inking mechanism and is applied in a second contact zone (8) to the printing plate. The catchment roller rotates against the direction of rotation of the plate cylinder (1). The catchment roller is separated from the ink mechanism during the printing operation and a friction roller (11) works in conjunction with it.
