摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a heavy load discharge with high energy and high cycle life by using a negative electrode for lithium secondary battery containing two kinds or more of carbon materials having C-axial spacings of a specified value or less as negative electrode active material. SOLUTION: In a lithium secondary battery at least formed of a positive electrode, an electrolyte layer, and a carbon negative electrode capable of storing and releasing lithium, the negative electrode active material of the lithium secondary battery negative electrode contains two kinds or more of carbon materials having C-axial spacings d002 of 3.4Å or less. The carbon materials desirably contain a carbon material having a d002 less than 3.37Å and a carbon material having a d002 of 3.37-3.4Å. In this lithium secondary battery negative electrode, the carbon materials are desirably differed in average particle size.
