PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to confirm a position of one's own vehicle displayed on a road by displaying the position of the vehicle on map data of a two-dimensional vertical face if another road is present running stereoscopically along the road. SOLUTION: A control part 19 reads out a map data 14a of a two-dimensional plane of a subject area from a map data memory part 14 based on positional information of a vehicle from a position operational part 12 or a GPS receiver 13. The control part 19 detects whether or not a position of one's vehicle is on a road A of the map data 14a. If the position of the vehicle is not on the road A, the position is corrected onto the road A by a map-matching part 15 and output to a horizontal face display part 17 of a display part 16. When the control part 19 judges that the position of the vehicle is on the road A, map information related to the road A is read out from the memory part, 14 to search for a road running along the road A stereoscopically. If the presence of a road B running stereoscopically along the road A is confirmed, a map data 14b of a corresponding two-dimensional vertical face is read out from the memory part 14 and output/displayed to a vertical face display part 18 of the display part 16. |
