The tool comprises a carburettor (8) within the casing (2) of an internal combustion engine (9) and an air filter (10) via which the combustion air goes to the carburettor. The air filter is drum-shaped. A large part of its surface consists of air-permeable material. It has several ribs running along the drum (11), connecting the drum endfaces. There is at least one output aperture in the drum endface, connected to the carburettor. At least some of the ribs extend over the entire length of the drum.
