METHOD OF CREATING POLYIMIDE IMAGE HAVING HIGH RESOLUTION USING NON-PHOTOSENSITIVE LAYER OF POLY (AMIC ACID) OR ITS SALT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a wash-off polyimide image of high resolving power. SOLUTION: This method consists of respective continuous steps. That is, a non-photosensitive layer containing a substantially non-crystalline poly(amide acid) polymer or a salt thereof is prepared on a substrate (a) and aq. ink changed in solubility in an ink applying region is imagewise applied to the non-photosensitive layer (b). This aq. ink. contains a soluble modifier. Continuously, the non-photosensitive layer is washed off by an aq. soln. in order to remove a soluble region (c) and the poly(amide acid) polymer is converted to polyimide (d).
