GEOLOGICAL DISTRIBUTION SURVEY DEVICE FOR EXCAVATED FACE AND THE SURVEYING AND CONTROL METHOD FOR EXCAVATION WORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To visually classify the geological conditions of an excavated face in a real time system to make the excavation effective and safe. SOLUTION: An acceleration meter 9 is directly fixed to a cutter pedestal 5 fixed to a cutter head 2 to support a cutter disk 6 in order to measure frequency and amplitude at the time of excavation. The data are specified by an analyzer 13. Patterns of the excavated face on rocks 7 are classified on the basis of the frequency and amplitude of the analyzer 13 in a personal computer 14. The classified data are visually displayed and the excavating work is controlled to be optimized.
