The drive uses an IC-engine coupled to a hydraulic pump (1) which is supplied from a reservoir (2) supplying fluid under high pressure to a distributor (4). A selector (6) is mounted on the distributor and controlled by the opening of one of the openings of the distributor. The fluid fed into the ducts (8) of the respective distributor output is fed to four hydraulic motors (11) which are mounted on the wheels to drive them progressively. The two wheels can each have two hydraulic motors on each side of the wheel hub. Each hydraulic motor has a support (4) on which the suspension of the motorcycle can be mounted.
