PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method capable of improving strength in weld zone and corrosion resistance compared with conventional methods by reducing local tensile stress generating due to the difference in coefficient of thermal expansion in a groove. SOLUTION: The direction, wherein coefficient of thermal expansion of a flat sheet stock 1 and 2 having anistropic coefficient of thermal expansion becomes large, is measured with such a well known method that test pieces for measuring coefficient of thermal expansion are respectively cut out of the base metal of the flat stock 1 and 2 and various directional stress in the case of heating and cooling on test pieces is measured with a strain gage and laser displacement gage or the like, and the groove is set and welded so that respective directions of large coefficient of thermal expansion become parallel to the welding line. |
