PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to suppress the flow of recording layers and to suppress the deterioration as a medium. SOLUTION: This recording medium operates on the phase transition between the crystalline state and amorphous state of the recording layers as the principle of recording, has groove parts and land parts on a substrate surface and has the structure formed by holding the recording layers with dielectric layers on the substrate. In such a case, the recording medium is provided with the locally existing structure of the recording layers in which the recording layers exist locally in the groove parts and the land parts and the dielectric layers holding the recording layers on the flakes of the grooves come into contact with each other. |
