A temperature sensing assembly comprising a temperature sensing device (10) mounted to an element or thick film of ceramic material (12) which is in turn mounted to, or arranged to be mounted to, a substrate (18) the temperature of which is to be measured. The ceramic material has a high thermal conductivity and a low electrical conductivity.
