Liquid-cooled, e.g. water-cooled, alternators suitable for electrical power supply in a vehicle with a heat engine are disclosed. The cooling circuit includes at least one thermoelectric component (16, 18, 20, 22) in the cooling circuit outlet duct (14). The component is connected directly to the output terminal (34) of the alternator via a short conductor (66, 68, 70, 72) and a switch which connects the component to the alternator only when certain conditions are met. |
