Fast accurate checking of yarn profile during restart of open=end spinning

摘要

A process for checking thread profile when re-starting spinning in an open-end spinning machine entails measuring the profile in the vicinity of the thread join drawn out of the spinning point after start-up and testing it for deviations against predetermined limits based on an acceptable deviation from the normal thread, i.e. a thread section uninfluenced by the start-up join. The thread is sub- divided into more than three regions representative of start-up which deviates from and is delimited from normal thread. At the start of each region a separate analysis of the thread is begun and defect suitable criteria are assigned. The causes of a defect based on type and position are determined as a basis, if needed, for decisions for necessary actions.
