The ventilation unit (10) extending along and below the window (17) is accommodated in a floor or intermediate ceiling (12) recess (11) and flush with the floor closing off the room on the underside. The ventilation unit is formed as a modular unit with a heat exchanger (33) located in the flow direction of the inlet air and/or circulated air in front of the outlet on the room inner side. A room air duct (28) extending from the inlet (29) joins the feed duct (20) in front of the heat exchanger.
