In a travelling flame cutting machine with a height adjuster on a transverse carriage (4) capable of travelling transversely to a machine housing (1), a profile tool head, in particular a profile cutting head, is connected to the height adjuster via a vertical rotational axis and a horizontal pivoting axis so as to be capable of rotating and pivoting. To facilitate high-precision machining of a work piece even in restricted and inaccessible areas, the height adjuster takes the form of a tappet unit (5) with a closed box-type profile and with a vertical central axis (6). The profile tool head (11) is located at the base of the profile, on the same axis, so that the virtual vertical rotational axis (12) of the profile tool head (11) is an extension of the vertical central axis (6) of the profile. |
