<p>Disclosed are a bioabsorbable muscle clamping apparatus for using in extraocular muscle surgery and a method of muscle surgery using the same, for example, for curing strabismus. This apparatus is comprised of an upper and a lower fixing unit, both being associated in opposite direction, an upper supporting unit for supporting the upper fixing unit and a lower supporting unit for supporting the lower fixing unit. The principle of this apparatus is that the lower supporting unit pierces the muscle by the force-applied upper supporting unit and then is fixed to the upper fixing unit. <IMAGE></p> |
