PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an image forming device small in size and low in cost by reducing the number of parts used for supplying developer and recovering waste developer in the image forming device. SOLUTION: A movable partition wall plate 42 is provided in the developer container 40 replenishing the developer to the developing tank 30 of a developing device 11 so as to partition the container 40 into a replenishment chamber 43 and a recovery chamber 44. The new developer supplied to the tank 30 is housed in the chamber 43. Then, the waste developer in the tank 30 and waste toner from a cleaning device 12 are recovered to the chamber 44. By supplying the developer in the chamber 43 to the tank 30 and recovering the waste developer to the chamber 44 at the same time, the developer in the tank 30 is replaced with the new developer. The plate 42 is moved to the chamber 43 side according as the waste developer and the waste toner are recovered. Since the replenishment of the new developer and the recovery of the waste developer and the waste toner are executed in a lump by one container 40, the number of parts is reduced. |
