PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin pellet, useful in a wide field such as an interior or exterior finish plastic panel for houses, wallpaper for interior finish, causing extremely slight discoloration and having a low moisture content and antimicrobial and antifungal activities. SOLUTION: This resin pellet is obtained by dry coating the surface of a resin pellet having 1-30mm grain diameter with a metal having antimicrobial and antifungal activities (e.g. silver, copper, tin or zinc) or a metallic compound according to a sputtering method. For example, a thermoplastic resin pellet or a thermosetting resin pellet is cited as the resin pellet to be sputtered and the grain diameter thereof is preferably 1-10mm. The coating film thickness of the metal or metallic compound is preferably regulated to 0.1-10μm in the dry coating according to the sputtering method.
