<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag module constituted of a limited number of component elements and capable of being easily assembled with a single screw fastener by the sure and simple method employing efficient assembling procedures at a low cost. SOLUTION: This air bag module is constituted of an expanding device 18, a housing 16, a holding bracket 14, a cushion laminated body 12, and a protective cover 64 as main component elements. The holding bracket 14 has a series of protruded tabs 32, 34 on its side edges 31, 33. These tabs 32, 34 are coupled with the slots 50 of the housing 16 through the slits 26, 28 of the cushion laminated body 12. The component elements are oriented and have respective sizes so that the holding bracket 14 is elastically deformed and the tabs 32, 34 can be coupled with the slots 50 via a snap action during assembling.</p> |
