PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime preventing device for a vehicle having high crime prevention performance by using an IC card. SOLUTION: An IC card reader 110 is provided at a driver's seat, and an IC card reader 112 is provided near a door knob. The data of an IC card read out by the IC card readers 110, 112 are inputted to a verifying circuit 114, and whether the data coincide with the stored data in a memory 116 or not is verified. When the data read by the IC card readers 110, 112 differ from the stored data as a result of the verification by the verifying circuit 114, a control circuit 118 generates an alarm sound from an alarm generation section 120. When the data read by the IC card reader 112 coincide with the stored data, the control circuit 118 controls a door lock section 122 for unlocking. When the data read by the card reader 110 coincide with the stored data, the control circuit 118 controls an engine start section 124 in response to the start input from a start key section 126, and an engine is started. |
