SLURRY EXCAVATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slurry excavation method which prevents the deviation of slurry excavating in a clearance in the ground by using a water swollen rubber crushed or particulate and holds a slurry pressure for a long time and prevents the collapse of the ground. SOLUTION: The ground is excavated under the presence of excavation slurry added by a crushed or particulated water swollen rubber whose mean particle diameter ranges from 50μm to 20mm. As a result, a swollen rubber forms a 3D slurry film in the clearance of a bedrock. This construction makes it possible to prevent 'a deviation phenomenon' that slurry flows out from the clearance of the bedrock and hold the slurry pressure at a definite value between a shield pipe and the bedrock with the water swollen rubber which sucks up and expands surrounding water and hence prevent the collapse of the bedrock and lower dramatically the potentiality of the contamination of underground water.
