PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify drivers of guide information in connection with a guide object intersection with a proper timing by discriminating whether or not the guide object intersection comes into the sight of driver based on a vehicle position and position data and shape data of a landmark. SOLUTION: It is discriminated whether or not the guide object intersection substantially comes into the sight of a driver based on the vehicle position and position data and shape data of the landmark. That is, in the intersection guide device, a control part 6 drives a disk control part 7 and reads road map data in the periphery of the present vehicle position from a disk D with the disk control part 7 when the present vehicle position is given from a position detecting part 5. Then, read road map data and present vehicle data are given to the control part 6. When the control part 6 gives display data to a display device 9 with a manmachine interface 8, the present vehicle position is displayed by a car mark together with a road map.
