<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-based ink capable of preventing scorching and clogging in a nozzle and realizing a print having water resistance by including a pigment, an initiator capable initiating of polymeization or cross-linking by ultraviolet irradiation and a resin polymerizable or cross-linkable by actions of the initiator. SOLUTION: This water-based ink contains (A) a pigment and (B) an initiator capable of initiating polymerization or cross-linking by ultraviolet irradiation [preferably a compound, capable of absorbing ultraviolet rays at <=366nm wavelength and represented by formula I (either of X1 and X2 is H, methyl, ethyl, methoxy, etc., and the other is sulfone, sulfino or carboxyl) and (C) a resin polymerizable or cross-linkable by actions of the component (B) [preferably a compound represented by formula II (Y1 is sulfone, sulfine or carboxyl; Y2 is H or methyl; (m) and (n) are each independently an integer of >=1, with the proviso that the (m)/(n) ratio is (1/10) to (10/1); the polymerization form may be any of random, block and alternating ones)]. Moreover, neither of the components (B) and (C) preferably causes thermal decomposition up to 80 deg.C.</p> |
