PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a power use efficiency in a stand-by state by comparing the origination number from an opposite terminal with a previously registered opposite user telephone number and actuating a 2nd power source part when they match each other. SOLUTION: When a line interface 10 receives a call setting message through a user interface, the origination number included in the call setting message is compared with the previously registered opposite user telephone number and when the telephone numbers match each other, the 2nd power source part 14 is actuated. When not, the 2nd power source part is not informed and communication rejection or a release message including a termination busy state is sent out as a reason display to an ISDN network 2. The 2nd power source part 14 once informed by the line interface part 10 supplies electric power to a control part 11, an audio, image, and data transmission reception processing part 12, and a monitor 16. Then the capability is interchanged with the opposite video conferencing device and when a communication becomes ready, the video conferencing devices can communicate with each other. |
