<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sheet thickness precision by calculating error of deformation resistance at down stream stand from measured rolling load and measured sheet thickness between the stands, and modifying roll opening and roll peripheral velocity. SOLUTION: In continuous hot rolling, target sheet thickness at each stand exit of stock 12 to be rolled, and roll gap of F1 -F7 roll stands are roll peripheral velocities and target rolling loads are calculated by a computing element I 14. According to these calculated values, stock 12 to be rolled is rolled by reduction controller mechanisms 16A-16G and roll rotation frequency controller mechanisms 18. The rolling loads are measured by the load cell 20C, 20D provided at F3 , F4 stands and the sheet thickness is measured by a thinness meter 24 provided between F4 , F5 stand. These value are input into a computing unit 22, and the target rolling load and observed rolling load are compares with each other, and deviation of the sheet thickness is estimated from the error to predicted value of the deformation resistance, and thereby quantity to modify the roll gap and quantity to modify roll peripheral velocity are calculated Using this modifying quantity, the thickness at the exit is controlled to the prescribed thickness.</p> |
