PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a characteristic more excellent than a proper characteristic of the original hydrogen storage alloy even in any point of initial activity and the cycle service life. SOLUTION: A hydrogen storage alloy electrode is formed by mutually joining particles A of first hydrogen storage alloy having a Zr-Ni type Laves phase structure and particles B of second hydrogen storage alloy different in the composition from the first hydrogen storage alloy as well as having the Zr-Ni type Laves phase structure, and a joining layer C having the new composition containing componental elements of the first and the second hydrogen storage alloys is formed on this contact interface. |
