METHOD OF TREATING GAS FROM CATALYTIC OXIDATION OF HYDROGEN SULFIDE TO REMOVE AIR SOL SULFUR

FIELD: gas purification. SUBSTANCE: method may find use for treating tail gases in Claus production of elementary sulfur and when treating natural gases using direct catalytic oxidation technique. Method consists in that, into gas to be treated heated to 230-250 C, sprayed liquid sulfur is introduced in quantity 5-10% based on sulfur content in gas being treated, whereupon resulting stream is directed into tube space of sulfur condenser filled with porous charge. EFFECT: increased air sol sulfur removal degree from 75 to 90-95% and reduced hydrogen sulfide content by five hundredth of percent in average.
