PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a battery compact while maintaining the airtightness when a sealing plug is fitted to the battery and the safety when the tip section of an electrolyte container is inserted by locating the lower end of the exhaust groove of a swell section above the upper face of arm sections in a liquid injection port. SOLUTION: An injection port 4 to be inserted with the tip section of an electrolyte container is constituted of a cylindrical section 41 extended vertically and communicated with the inside and outside, multiple arm sections 42 extended to the center from its lower edge, and a liquid injection tube 43. The liquid injection tube 43 is made sharp at the upper end, and it is provided with an injection path 44 penetrated vertically and a swell section 45 at the side section. An exhaust groove 46 is vertically formed on the swell section 45. The lower end 46a of the groove 46 is located above the upper face 42a of the arm sections 42.
