An attachment device (300) for mounting and/or removing the primary coil block (110) of a linear motor (100) interacting with a movable member (200) of a machine tool. The attachment device (300) comprises a first attachment element (310) and a second attachment element (320) fitted, on one of their sides, on the primary coil block (110) and on the movable member (200), respectively. On the other or free side, the first attachment element (310) supports a male portion (310a) consisting of a rail with a T-shaped cross-section, while the second attachment element (320) supports a female portion (320a) consisting of a channel with a C-shaped cross-section into which the T-shaped male portion (310a) may be inserted along a longitudinal sliding axis (arrow L) in order to attach the first element (310) to the second element (320) and thereby also attach the primary block (110) to the movable member (200). The device is useful for mounting linear motors on machine tools.
