A device and system for releasably securing a watchband (40) to a watch casing. Specifically, a watchband connector pin (43) is formed of a shape memory material, preferably a shape memory alloy. The watchband (40) may be readily released and reattached from a watch casing to facilitate repairs of the watch, for aesthetic considerations, or when the watchband is damaged or worn. The connector pin (43) is durable due to the one piece design, easy to operate, flexible, and economical to produce. |
