The therapy device uses at least one sensor (103) for detecting a parameter indicating the body condition and an evaluation and control device (110,111) for initiating the required therapy, or controlling a therapy parameter in dependence on the measured parameter value. The evaluation and control device has a memory (115) holding range limits for at least 2 overlapping ranges for the measured parameter value, fed to a comparator (110.1) for comparison with the actual parameter value, the result of the comparison used to address a further memory (111.2) for providing the therapy control values.
