The invention relates to a no-break power supply (2) with a line-side commutation reactor (L10), an intermediate voltage link converter (4) with its control device (16), an output filter (14) consisting of a transformer (T20) with a high leakage inductance and filter capacitors (C30), a static bypass switch (12) with its control device (18) and a manual by-pass switch (Q50). According to the invention, the converter (4) is a drive technology frequency converter (32), upstream of which there is an input filter (34) and the d.c. bar terminals (C, D) of which are connected to a battery coupling device (42). It is thus possible with commercially available drive technology components and no-break power supply-specific components to construct a no-break power supply making use of a technical and economical combination from drive technology.
